The domain name “modapharma.com” was registered in March 2015 and won’t expire until March 2021. The last update was noticed in September 2017. The website has been active for 4 years, which is an average term for an online pharmacy.

Regretfully, the website’s owner uses a privacy service to hide its identity. It’s disappointing that this company doesn’t have a business address or even a contact phone number. However, I found out that the registrar name is REG.RU LLC REGISTRAR, which is a Russian company.

The website’s IP address is 104.31.90.243, which is located in California, San Francisco (Cloudflare Inc). This could mean that the site is located in the USA but somehow ties to Moscow (the Russian Federation).

Another disturbing fact is that the site had 17 changes on 17 unique IP addresses over 8 years and there are 461 other sites hosted on this server. These are common features of rogue online stores.

So, it is not really clear as to which country the business originates from. They do state that ship from the United Kingdom but I can hardly believe it. And the lack of contact details can also be a sign of a scam.

ModaPharma offers different products to choose from. Their favorite products are Modalert, Artvigil, Modvigil, and Waklert. The store advertises these meds on the main page:

I noticed they have limited dosage options. For example, Modalert is only available at a dosage of 100mg.

I suspect the quality of these meds could be poor since they are not FDA approved and can pose danger to patients.

An antivirus program is however not available on the site, which increases the risks of infecting your device with malware and viruses. It’s nice that the pharmacy has taken some measures to protect customers but it’s simply not enough.

Based on these findings, I conclude that ModaPharma.com is not a legit business and there are definitely far safer places for you to be ordering meds from.
